Usage Guidelines & Best Practices
Fiber Compatibility: Supports OM1–OM4 multimode and OS2 single-mode fiber (max 220 m). A Mode Conditioning Patch Cord (MCP) is mandatory on the TX port for legacy OM1/OM2 fiber to prevent signal degradation.
Maintenance & Polarity: Clean LC connectors before insertion to avoid signal loss. Ensure correct polarity—always map the MCP single-mode leg to the TX port.
Distance & Link Budget: Maximum distance is strictly 220 m across all fiber types. Excessive splices, patch panels, or sharp bends will reduce range.
Thermal Management: Power consumption is ≤1W, operating standardly at 0°C to 70°C without auxiliary cooling.
Industrial Grade Option: For outdoor or harsh environments with extreme temperatures, select industrial-grade (-40°C to 85°C) modules.
