Q1: Will the AT-SPLX80 compatible module work without "unsupported SFP" errors? A: Yes. Our modules are programmed with the correct Allied Telesis signatures. They are recognized by the AlliedWare Plus operating system as a genuine AT-SPLX80, ensuring no port-lock or warning messages.
Q2: Does this 80km module support DDM/DOM? A: Absolutely. Full Digital Diagnostic Monitoring is supported. You can check the real-time health of your 80km link through the CLI with the command: show system inter optics.
Q3: Can I use this in an SFP+ (10G) port on an x530 series switch? A: Yes. Most Allied Telesis SFP+ slots are backward compatible with 1G SFP modules. The port will typically auto-negotiate to 1Gbps upon insertion.
Q4: Do I need an optical attenuator for short-range links? A: YES. This is a high-power laser. If your fiber link is shorter than 20km, you MUST use a 10dB-15dB LC optical attenuator. Failure to do so may permanently damage the sensitive optical receiver.
