      The HYTOPTODEVICE QDD-2X400G-DR4 is a high-performance Juniper Networks compatible 800G optical transceiver, engineered for next-generation 800G Ethernet, Data Center Interconnect (DCI), and InfiniBand Interconnects.it transmit traffic up to 500m over OS2 single-mode fibre (SMF) using a wavelength of 1310nm via MTP/MPO-16(APC) connectors. Fully compliant with IEEE P802.3ck, IEEE 802.3cu, QSFP-DD MSA standards.supporting real-time DDM.
      The 800G QSFP-DD transceiver supports 2x 400G DR4 and 8x 100G DR breakout applications.It can split into two separate 400Gbps connections, each running over 4 lanes of parallel single-mode fiber (DR4) or split into eight individual 100Gbps connections. Featured with low latency, low power, and reliability, perfect for 800G Ethernet, Data Center, high-performance computing networks, enterprise core and distribution layers, and service provider applications.

DR8 uses parallel optics (8 lanes of 100G running over 8 pairs of single-mode fiber) and reaches up to 500 meters using 1310nm wavelength. It is ideal for short-reach high-density environments and allows 8x100G(DR) or 2x400G(DR4) breakouts. FR4 uses CWDM(1271,1291,1311,1331nm wavelength) over a single duplex LC fiber pair to reach up to 2km, but it does not natively breakout into 8 individual 100G lines.

Q2: Can the Juniper QDD-2X400G-DR4 operate in breakout mode? A: Yes. Our 800G DR8 module utilize 8 lanes of 100G PAM4 optical signaling, supporting breakout applications. Using appropriate MPO breakout F/F cables, it can be configured in Juniper OS to split into 2x 400G (DR4) or 8x 100G (DR) channels.
